Natural Pyrenees meadow hay
Our natural hay from Pyrenees meadows —mown at 1,470 metres, June cut, sun-dried, untreated—, from farms that follow the same clean farming practices as the rest of Piriheno.
It's a natural mix of high-mountain grasses —including Timothy (Phleum pratense), among others—, legumes and wildflowers: not an imported monoculture, it's what really grows in Lles de Cerdanya.
This is hay from meadows in conversion: it already meets Piriheno's clean-farming practices, but hasn't yet completed the period required by Regulation (EU) 2018/848. That's why it's a different hay from the Organic line, not the same batch under another label — hence its different price.

Shipping is calculated at checkout, based on the order's weight and destination. On the Spanish mainland, delivery in 24-48 business hours.
Storage
A dry, ventilated place, raised off the ground and sheltered from rain. Never in a closed plastic bag: hay needs to breathe. Well stored, it keeps its nutritional value all season.
Which animals it's for
Rabbits, guinea pigs, chinchillas and small rodents, for whom our Organic hay is the base of the diet, not a supplement.
